This Hidden Valley basement was dark, cold, and uninviting when we met this family. Their goal was to create a family area where they could play games, work out and provide a warm welcome for visiting family with a private spa retreat ensuite. They were blown away by our new floor plan and the solutions we came up with to create this cozy basement.
We reimagined their basement and designed a cozy family movie room, space for family connection and luxurious updates for the adults to unwind!
Brightened the walls enough to create a warm space, while retaining a media centre feeling.
Removed track lights and added/ moved a few pot lights.
Updated the bathroom with spa-like finishes with a luxurious steam unit.
Furnished the family room with a cozy, stylish sectional and occasional chair.
Added a custom wet bar with floating shelves.
Utilized barn doors to separate the family room from the bathrooms.
